If you are procrastinating, suffering from lack of clarity, or resisting prioritization…You need to take immediate action. As Casey Combden mentions in the video below, you need to ask yourself every 15 minutes, “NOW what needs to be done?” You will be blown away by your level of productivity just by focusing on what needs to be done now.
Casey James Combden has helped millions of people discover their uniqueness, live in their greatness and get everything they want out of life. We are fortunate to have him coach the Dan Plowman Team.
Asking yourself, “Now what needs to be done?” is a power question. It may seem easy and simple but don’t be fooled by thinking it’s too simple to work. Asking yourself this question produces real results.
In the above video, Casey refers to David Allen, author of the book Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity, an excellent resource for proven strategies on how to get things done and increase your productivity while reducing stress.
Here are a few actions to set you on the path to increased productivity:
1. Create a plan for your day and week and complete one task at a time. Keep asking yourself, “NOW what needs to be done?” You will be amazed at how much you will accomplish by completing this simple task.
2. Eliminate distractions and noise. Give yourself more time for creative, innovative, and business building activities.
3. Focus on implementing specific measurable tasks. Make sure you can measure and account for the tasks you have accomplished.
4. Clarify and align your goals, values and commitments. If you are working on tasks that are out of alignment with your goals and values, you won’t produce the results you want.
As Casey says, “We wish you all the success you are willing to work for.” Don’t forget to keep asking yourself, “Now what needs to be done?” in order to achieve your greatest goals.
