We use your personal information to manage our business and operations so that we can effectively provide products and services to you. These uses include:

  • To register you, upon request, with any of our services or products and for administrative and billing purposes
  • To enable us to understand your needs and preferences and then to assist you by phone or e-mail by educating you on current or anticipated products or events and to tailor marketing material to your specific needs

We NEVER sell, rent, or trade your information. Also, we never disclose your personal information to non-affiliated third parties, except as described below. We only disclose your personal information in limited circumstances, those being with your consent or as permitted or required by law.

Disclosures of personal information may include:

  • To persons or companies employed or retained by us to perform certain services or functions on our behalf, such as collection. In cases were we utilize these persons or companies, we restrict their use of your personal information to the purpose for which it is shared (i.e. what is necessary to act on our behalf for those specific purposes).
  • To third parties when we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is required by law. These disclosures may occur in connection with a court order, legal process, or other judicial, administrative or investigative proceeding.

Your privacy is important to us. This notice explains our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Types of Data We Collect

Information gathered from persons outside the United States may have their personal data transferred to the USA and to our USA office.

When our website asks for sensitive information such as credit card numbers and expiration dates, that information is encrypted and protected through use of a secure connection using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protection.

Personal information collected for the processing of a DISC assessment includes: name, e-mail address, gender (for report references only) and, in some cases, position/job title and organization.

Personal information collected for credit card purchases includes: full name, address, phone, email address (for receipts), credit card type, credit card number, credit card security code and credit card expiration date.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our websites from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our websites are structured to attract anyone under 13.

The Way We Use Information

We may use your personal data, (i.e. your first name, gender and assessment responses,) to produce a personalized assessment report about you. Your gender is used only to select the appropriate pronouns for the report. For each visitor to our website, our web server automatically recognizes the visitor's domain name and email address (where possible.) We do not collect all of that data, but it is recognized. We collect only the domain name, but not the email address, of visitors to our website. We also track aggregate information on what pages visitors access or visit, and user-specific information on what pages visitors access or visit. When someone visits our sites, a cookie is placed on the visitor's computer, (if the customer accepts cookies,) or is read if the visitor has previously visited the site.

We collect information you give us; the names and email addresses of those who take our online assessments, the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, survey information and/or site registrations. We do not collect or track the email addresses of those who are asked to be observers, (for our 360 degree assessments only,) of those who purchase the online assessment. Email addresses are not sold or traded, now or in the future, for any reason, and no one will be contacted unless they specifically request it. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our website, to notify consumers about updates to our website and used by us to contact visitors for marketing purposes.

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on us or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Dan Plowman Team Systems, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of services, or members of the public.

Dan Plowman Team Systems may be required to disclose an individual's personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security law enforcement requirements.

Our Commitment To Data Security

We are committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security, physical, electronic and managerial procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer servers in controlled facilities, with access limited to specific internal Dan Plowman Team Systems staff and employees of the data center. You can contact info@dpts.ca if you wish to change or delete your personal data. Once you have received a product/report, you have the choice to be removed from our database.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You have a right to access data we hold about you. You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information (name, e-mail address, etc.) by contacting the party who asked you to complete the online survey or by sending an e-mail to: info@dpts.ca. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before making corrections.

Refund And Return Policy

Event Tickets

All ticket sales are final. Event dates and venues are subject to change. Events include workshops, training seminars, annual DPTS Team Summit, boot camps, etc.

Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, tickets may be transferred to another person or to a future conference. Dan Plowman Team Systems Inc (DPTS) reserves the right to cancel an event. In the event of cancellation by Dan Plowman Team Systems Inc (DPTS), only the cost of the conference registration shall be refunded.


DPTS products are intellectual product, therefore we do not issue refunds after the product is shipped and/or downloaded, which you are responsible for understanding upon purchasing. Please make sure that you've carefully read all relevant documentation and please don't hesitate to contact us with all the questions you have prior to ordering any products. We only make exceptions with this rule when the product appears to be not-as-described on a case-by-case basis in agreement of the parties concerned. The deadline for any refund claim is one week after the delivery date.

Coaching/Consulting Programs

A discount is provided for anyone joining one of our consulting programs for a minimum of 12-months. Choosing this option obligates you for a minimum of 12-months from the date coaching started. If you do not honour the 12-month minimum commitment, your account may be turned over to collections at the discretion of DPTS, if an alternate agreement cannot be reached. DPTS is committed to client satisfaction and retention and every effort will be made to ensure you receive the highest possible level of service in the industry. After the 12-month commitment has been met, consulting reverts to a month-to-month agreement and can be cancelled at any time with 30 days advance notice from your billing date. The month-to-month agreement also applies to anyone not on a 12-month commitment.

Brokerage Training

Training that takes place at a brokerage, whether paid at the brokerage level or the agent level, is non-refundable, once the payment has been processed. If a session is missed, every effort will be made to provide the materials that were used in that training session and if the session is offered again in the future, you may attend at no additional cost. If you are not able to attend any of the training sessions after payment has been made, you will retain a credit with DPTS for the amount paid that can then be used towards future events or products that may be purchased and downloaded from our website or shipped to you directly.
