What do sellers really expect from you as a real estate agent? Put simply, they want an agent who is going to sell their home fast, for the most amount of money, and with the least amount of hassle.
Seems pretty simple right? It can be, but your clients don’t just want to hear that you’ll provide them with results, they want to SEE HOW you’re going to do so.
In order to put them at ease and ensure they’re confident in your services, you’ll need to provide them with the following:
1. A solid listing system with a predictable outcome. Sellers want to be able to see the listing system you’ll use, including the series of steps you’ll take to sell their home as quickly as possible for the most amount of money.
2. Proof. In order to stand out from competition, use things like testimonials from past clients and statistics to leverage yourself in the market. When a seller can see how fast or how many homes you’ve sold, they’ll be more confident in your abilities.
3. Choices. Sellers want to feel included in the processes of selling their home such as setting a commission rate and listing price. For example, rather than presenting them with the commission rate they’ll be paying, give them a few different options and allow them to choose.
4. Constant communication. Sellers want to be updated frequently on what is going on with their listing and any feedback being received from buyers. It is important that you establish constant communication with them and provide them with a way of contacting you directly so that they always feel “in the loop.”
